The Child Find process is important because it helps the child, the family, and the provider to plan appropriate services and link families to services for students meeting eligibility requirements in the following disability areas: Hearing Impairment, Deaf-Blindness, Intellectual Disability, Multiple Disabilities, Orthopedic Impairment, Other Health Impairment, Emotional Disability, Speech or Language Impairment, Visual Impairment, Specific Learning Disabilities, Autism, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Developmental Delay.
If you are aware of any children residing within he Etowah County School jurisdiction, whose special education needs are not presently met, please notify me at the above listed address and phone number. Educational planning and coordination for services with other appropriate agencies are available for preschool age children.
Your cooperation and assistance in this continuing endeavor to locate all children who may be in need of special services is greatly appreciated.
