Me and my girls
Speech Therapist
Grades: P-12
Hello! My name is Carrie Beth Handley. I am currently a Speech Therapist at the Learning Center.  I received a B.S. in Communication Disorders and a B. A. in Psychology (War Eagle!).

I began working with special education children in Albertville City Schools in 1998 and began working towards my Masters Degree at Jacksonville State University. In July 2000 I married Wade Handley and together we set off to live our fairy tale life that was sure to end happily ever after. I
graduated with a M.S. in Collaborative Education (P-12) in 2001. In 2002 my husband Wade and I were blessed with our first daughter, Ella Kate. I continued working in Albertville City Schools until 2003 when I transferred to Etowah County Schools as a Speech Therapist.

In May 2005 our second daughter, Reagan, came into our lives. I am providing speech therapy services to children 3 - 5 years of age at Etowah County Preschool and provide therapy at Carlisle Elementary and Highland Elementary. I love working wih children of all ages in all areas. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my children, singing, photography, scrapbooking, and traveling. My motto is..."You are never too old to learn something new." Life is an adventure when you continue to have new experiences and learn new things. At that point you can see the world through the eyes of a child.
