Meet Mrs. Holley Murphy

Let me begin by introducing myself…  My name is Holley Cash Murphy and I am a special education teacher in the Early Education class here at John Jones Elementary School.  I'm a 1993 graduate of Jacksonville State University where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education degree.  I completed my Master of Arts degree from the University of Alabama in 1995. ROLL TIDE!!  I began my teaching career with Etowah County Schools at Ivalee Elementary School in 1993 and then on to John Jones in 1997.  I am certified as a highly qualified teacher. As a product of Etowah County Schools having graduated from Southside High School, I love teaching at JSJ!  It is an honor to teach in a National Blue Ribbon School with the greatest faculty and administration anywhere!
My Family
My husband is Hal Murphy and we are parents to Anna Grace and Natalie.  My family and I are members of CrossPoint Community Church where I teach an adult special needs Sunday school class.  I am a Girl Scout volunteer  working with my daughters' Brownie and Cadette troops.  When I am not working, I enjoy being at home with my family, reading, going to the movies, and collecting Barbie dolls.  I love Christmas and usually decorate for that earlier than most.  My family loves to check in with Mickey and Minnie at Disney World as often as we can! We also love to head south to the beach.
I look forward to meeting you and working with your children!  Please let me know if I can assist you in anyway.  It's going to be a great school year!
